Emmanuel's Visit Day 7

Today I am taking Emmanuel to the Santa Barbara Zoo. For the size of the city, Santa Barbara has a remarkably large zoo for such a small community. I want to show him the snakes and the lions. The zoo also has a very nice gift shop and awesome hot pretzels.

Emmanuel's Visit Day 6

Today I am taking Emmanuel to the Santa Barbara Old Mission. The Santa Barbara Mission was the tenth of the California Missions and it was founded by the Spanish priests. They created it on the Feast of St. Barbara, December 4, 1786. I think Emmanuel will enjoy this because the Mission is a significant part of the history of Santa Barbara.

Emmanuel's Visit Day 5

Today, I'm taking Emmanuel to the Ty Warner Sea Center on Stern's Wharf. The Sea Center is an interesting ocean museum that captures live and recreated sea creatures. As you walk into the museum, one of the first things you see is a giant model of a Grey Whale that's actually quite amazing. In another section of the museum, you can find a touch tank that allows you to interact with some of the more docile creatures of the ocean. It's really an amazing place, and I'm sure Emmanuel will enjoy it.

Emmanuel's Visit Day 4

Today, I'm going to take Emmanuel to the park to teach him some parkour. I'm interested to see how he performs with one leg. Then after we're drenched in sweat and smiling, we'll go to The Hamburger Habit to get burgers.

Emmanuel's Visit Day 3

I'm taking Emmanuel to school today to see what it's like for a kid here in America. After school, we'll go to the beach and swim until dark, and then we'll have dinner on the beach. Sitting on the beach, we will be able to smell the strong smell of the ocean as we eat steak sandwiches and drink lemonade.

Emmanuel's Visit day 2

Today, I'm taking Emmanuel to the school parking lot. From the fence at the edge of the parking lot, there is an amazing view of the city. Then for lunch, we'll go to Joe's Cafe and get french dip sandwiches. They are amazingly tasty.
